Q: How secure is SurrealDB Cloud?

SurrealDB Cloud runs on Amazon Web Services, with Microsoft Azure to follow, using current security best practice. SurrealDB itself provides flexible authentication and fine-grained access control down to the record, row and field level, with built-in or third-party authentication providers.

Q: Is SurrealDB Cloud compliant?

SurrealDB is GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, SOC 2 (Type 1 and Type 2) and Cyber Essentials Plus compliant. HIPAA compliance is an optional add-on, and PCI-DSS is in progress. The full status is in our Trust Centre.

Q: How resilient are SurrealDB and SurrealDB Cloud?

SurrealDB runs in production at scale for large enterprises. Every SurrealDB Cloud instance is backed up daily, with configurable frequency and retention to follow. Fault-tolerant, highly available clusters are self-serve on the Scale plan.

Q: Which cloud providers does SurrealDB Cloud run on?

SurrealDB Cloud runs on Amazon Web Services, with Microsoft Azure to follow. You choose the region when you deploy, and your data stays in that region.

Q: How does pricing work?

In SurrealDB Cloud you pay only for what you use, invoiced monthly on that month's usage. Commitment discounts are available on request.

Q: What payment methods are available?

SurrealDB Cloud takes credit card by default. For other payment methods, contact us.

Q: What is included in Enterprise self-hosted pricing?

Enterprise self-hosted pricing follows your deployment and includes priority security patches, audit logging, FIPS-compliant cryptography, object storage support, distributed live queries and commercial support with guaranteed SLAs.

Q: What support plans are available and how do they differ?

Three tiers. Standard covers business hours with an 8-hour Severity 1 response. Business Critical is 24x7 with a 2-hour Severity 1 response. Premium is 24x7 with a dedicated Slack channel, a named Technical Account Manager and a 30-minute Severity 1 response.
