Ambassadors are active in Discord and forums, welcoming new developers, answering questions, and sharing advice from their own experience. They help create a friendly, supportive environment where anyone can get started with SurrealDB.

Show what's possible

By posting demos, code snippets, and personal projects, ambassadors highlight the many ways SurrealDB can be used. Their examples spark ideas, encourage experimentation, and show developers what's achievable with the database.

Create content

Ambassadors share their knowledge with a wider audience through blogs, tutorials, videos, or talks at events. This content helps others discover SurrealDB, understand its unique features, and learn best practices.

Contribute resources

Ambassadors also give back directly by submitting PRs, improving documentation, and creating tutorials or learning resources. These contributions make SurrealDB easier to use and ensure the community has high-quality material to learn from.

What we ask from you

The programme is designed to be flexible but meaningful. We ask Ambassadors to dedicate around 4-8 hours a month, contribute at least two pieces of content or activity each quarter, and stay active in our community. You'll also join quarterly calls with the team and uphold our Code of Conduct to keep the community safe and welcoming.

Ready to apply?

Applications are open all year, and new cohorts are selected in April and October. We keep the group small so every Ambassador gets personal support and close contact with the team.
