# Welcome to the Tour of SurrealDB!

This tour is designed to give you a basic understanding of SurrealDB in as little as 30 minutes, or a few minutes a day over a few days. We will walk through a small project to create a database that holds a library inside a charming town called Riverdale. You can see part of Riverdale's downtown in the image above, while the library is more out towards the suburbs.

Inside the library we will add information including its books and their authors, the library's employees, and customers. We'll also map out some of the streets and places downtown and use an algorithm or two to show the paths you can take from one place to another.

In case you want to try all the queries out right away, you can see them all [in this page](https://surrealdb.com/learn/tour/page-32) at the end of the tour.

This tour is the shortest of our three university courses, and moves from concept to concept with a minimum of explanation for each page.

If you're still hungry for more once you are done the tour, check out the longer [SurrealDB Fundamentals](https://surrealdb.com/learn/fundamentals/) course and the immersive book [Aeon's SurrealDB Renaissance](https://surrealdb.com/learn/book/).

Let's get started!
