# Azure Marketplace

Subscribe via Azure Marketplace and link it to an organisation.

Subscribe through Azure Marketplace to pay for managed instances on your existing Azure bill.

You do not need to add a payment card to the organisation in SurrealDB Studio. Microsoft charges your Azure account for the usage.

This route suits a procurement process that already runs through Azure:

- Consolidated invoicing across vendors.
- Spend drawn down against an existing Azure commitment.
- A purchasing process that approves Marketplace listings only.

Everything else about the instances is the same.

> [!NOTE]
> If your company signs in with Microsoft accounts, an enterprise organisation can also use [Microsoft Entra ID for single sign-on](/docs/manage/enterprise/single-sign-on/microsoft-entra-id.md), so that members sign in to SurrealDB with the accounts they already have.

## Subscribe

1. Open the [SurrealDB Cloud listing](https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/saas/surrealdb.c4340b0d-df06-455d-9321-5117c9f6851d?tab=Overview) in Azure Marketplace.
2. Select **Get it now**.
3. Choose the Azure subscription to bill, and the plan.
4. Review the pricing terms and select **Subscribe**.

## What happens once you subscribe

1. You receive an email confirming your subscription.
2. Follow the link in the email to sign in and claim the subscription. Sign in with the email address you want to manage the subscription from, because the subscription is attached to the account you sign in with.
3. Claiming the subscription creates a new organisation, owned by that account and linked to your Azure Marketplace billing. Any instances you deploy in it are billed through the Marketplace.

After that, [deploy instances](/docs/manage/instances/create.md) as you would otherwise. Plans, instance types, regions, and capabilities are the same. Only the invoicing route differs.

### Moving existing instances

Existing instances and members in another SurrealDB Cloud organisation do not move to the new organisation automatically. To move them, please email [support@surrealdb.com](mailto:support@surrealdb.com) with the IDs of the new and the old organisation.

## Where your invoices are

Invoices and payment information for a Marketplace subscription are in **Cost Management + Billing** in the Azure portal. They do not appear in SurrealDB Studio, so the [Billing](/docs/manage/organisations/billing.md) page shows no invoices for an organisation billed through the Marketplace.

Usage figures stay in Studio under **Usage**. Read them to reconcile what the Azure charge covers. See [Usage and spend](/docs/manage/organisations/billing.md#usage-and-spend).

## Change or cancel a subscription

Changes and cancellations go through Azure. Follow Microsoft's guidance for SaaS subscriptions bought through the Marketplace.

> [!WARNING]
> Cancelling the Marketplace subscription removes the billing route for the organisation. Before you cancel, put the organisation on a valid plan, with its own payment method if one is needed. Running instances are otherwise left without a billing route.
