Senior Demand Generation Manager

SurrealDB is looking for an experienced and hands-on Demand Generation Manager to drive the full spectrum of demand generation activities and help grow our customer base. The ideal candidate will also be a digital marketing expert with a proven track record of converting free trial cloud customers into paying customers, optimising lead generation channels, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. SurrealDB is a fun and fast paced environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do but also result-driven. You will take ownership of all aspects of demand generation, from strategy to execution, while leveraging data-driven insights to improve performance. Experience of marketing a cloud solution or modern databases is a plus.

What will you do

Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive demand generation strategy to create qualified leads and accelerate pipeline growth.
Provide guidance and feedback on creating compelling content across social media, email, and ads, longer-form written content, and new videos that align to engage potential customers across various stages of the buyer's journey.
Monitor the customer journey from acquisition to conversion, optimising touchpoints to maximise customer lifetime value (CLV) and minimise churn.
Work closely with sales, product, and content teams to align demand generation efforts with broader company goals. Ensure seamless handoffs of qualified leads to the sales team. Lead by example as a team player, contributing to a collaborative, hands-on, and results-driven culture.
Design and execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing, ensuring alignment with SurrealDB’s business goals.
Build and optimise lead nurturing programs aimed at converting free trial cloud customers into paying customers through personalised and automated outreach efforts. Continuously test and optimise landing pages, ads, emails and other externally facing content to improve conversion rates, and drive customer action.
Using HubSpot track, analyse, and improve campaign performance. Experience in managing and segmenting databases is a strong plus.
Manage demand generation budgets, optimising spend across various channels to achieve maximum ROI.

About you

5 years of experience in demand generation including digital marketing
Proven success in converting free trial cloud users into paying customers
Familiarity using HubSpot (or similar marketing automation system)
Proficiency in digital marketing tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
Team player with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Results driven
Experience in B2B SaaS or cloud marketing preferred
Hands-on experience managing campaigns across multiple digital channels
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision-making.
Ability to manage budgets and analyse ROI across various campaigns.
Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing but fun environment.
